Congratulations to Non-Executive Director, Colin Coffey CDir of Flint Studios, named Non-Executive Director of the Year at 2016 IoD NI First Trust Bank Director of the Year Awards.
The Director of the Year Awards provides the IoD NI with an opportunity to join with First Trust Bank in formally recognising the great work being carried out by Northern Ireland’s top business leaders. Colin is among the list of 10 successful directors from across the private, third and public sectors who have been recognised for setting exceptional standards of leadership and demonstrating good corporate governance. The awards were judged by a panel made up of leading business representatives.
Commenting on Colin, the IoD panel of judges said: “Colin displayed the necessary experience, skills and acumen as well as demonstrating that he had added real value to the business. He provided strategic direction and corporate governance, and helped create a properly constituted Board of Directors.”
Upon receiving the award, Colin said: “It’s an honour to be named Non-Executive Director of the Year. This award is for the entire team at Flint Studios; a great company with great people. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the IoD for this recognition and congratulate all of the winners and those who were shortlisted.”

Flint Studios is enjoying a significant period of growth as the result of a strategic review and corporate governance put in place by Colin. The company has created a properly constituted board of directors, expanded its core capabilities and built additional revenue streams through digital marketing and hosting, in addition to recently completing the acquisition of the entire customer based of Belfast-based web agency, Fresh Made Media. In response, headcount has grown to match demand, with Flint Studios now employing 25 web specialists across an array of technical, creative and digital disciplines.
