Jeremy Biggerstaff, the managing director of local web solutions agency Flint Studios was named SME Director of the Year at IoD Northern Ireland First Trust Bank Awards.
As a winner of the regional awards, Jeremy will go forward to the national IoD award finals in late 2015 where he will compete against other winners across the UK. Jeremy will also be nominated for the IoD Lunn’s Award of Excellence, presented in February.
The IoD panel of judges said: “Jeremy Biggerstaff has been instrumental in the formation of a board of directors and the appointment of an external chairman, bringing a focus on the strategic direction of the business, ensuring good corporate governance and being agile in identifying changes in the external environment allowing the business to respond accordingly to those changes and challenges.”
“Jeremy has not only ensured the recruitment, retention and personal development of key talent, but has also made an outstanding contribution to the financial performance and growth of the business.”
Kirsty McManus, Director of the Centre for SME Development who sponsored the awards, said: “On behalf of the SME centre, we would like to congratulate Jeremy on his well-deserved award. Jeremy’s leadership is an example to others that they can also achieve greatness.”
Jeremy said “I’m delighted to be awarded IoD SME Director of the Year. Although this is perceived as an individual award, it is not something I could have achieved without the dedication and commitment of the entire team at Flint Studios. We strive to be the best we can be, and to become the first choice for web solutions in the UK and Ireland.”
Established in 2011, Flint Studios is enjoying phenomenal growth in a number of markets and now employs 16 members of staff. To add to this success, the company has just recently been recognised for its exemplary work winning ‘Website of the Year’ at the DANI Awards and ‘Best eCommerce Medium Website 2014/15’ at the Realex Fire Web Awards.
