The Managing Director of Flint Studios has reached the final of the Institute of Directors (IoD) First Trust Bank Awards. Jeremy Biggerstaff was shortlisted by the IoD for SME Director of the Year in Northern Ireland. If successful in his category at the regional finals, Jeremy will go forward to the national finals in 2015 for the UK title.
With over 20 years in the IT industry, Jeremy has been involved in some of the most successful IT operations that have emanated from Northern Ireland. His last corporate role was as Managing Director of UTV New Media. In recent years he has diversified and is now involved in a number of business ventures including his main role as Managing Director and investor in a local web solutions agency Flint Studios.
Established in 2011, Flint Studios is enjoying phenomenal growth in a number of markets and now employs 16 members of staff. To add to the success, the company has just recently been recognised for its exemplary work in winning 'Website of the Year' at the DANI Awards and 'Best eCommerce Medium Website 2014/15' at the Realex Fire Web Awards.
Jeremy said "I'm delighted to be shortlisted in the SME Director of the Year category at the upcoming IoD Awards. It's a real honour to be in the finals for such a prestigious accolade competing against some of the best known local businesses in Northern Ireland. Although this is perceived as an individual award, it is not something I could have achieved without the dedication and commitment of the entire team at Flint Studios. We strive to be the best we can be, and to become the first choice for web solutions in the UK and Ireland."
Regarded by many as the most prestigious business awards, the 2014 IoD ceremony will take place on 5th December at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast. The winners will be selected from a panel of leading business figures who will judge upon corporate governance and exceptional standards of leadership.
