Brief

Race & Rally is a leading supplier of motorsport accessories, spares and safety equipment in the UK, Ireland and Europe. They stock products from leading motorsport brands such as Recaro, Peugeot Sport and Citroen Racing. 
Race & Rally found themselves in a unique position as their main competitors had not yet embraced web technologies. As such, our brief was to revamp their online presence with a new Magento eCommerce website with the aim of increasing revenue generated online. 
In addition, Flint Studios seamlessly integrated multiple systems within the new Magento web application and provided a variety of digital marketing support in order to further enhance Race & Rally's online growth.

Integration with Unleashed Stock Control

Flint Studios integrated the Unleashed API to request order data on a daily basis allowing Magento to be updated when an order is completed on Unleashed. This then hooks into Magento's default tools to send automated emails to customers updating them on their order status. The ability to automate processes such as stock control has seen huge time-savings in having to manage inventory and stock manually, therefore reducing costs.

Magento Email Marketing with Mailchimp Configuration

Our developers at Flint Studios effectively integrated MailChimp within Race & Rally's Magento website. All customer purchase data is automatically synced with MailChimp, which enables Race & Rally to create targeted email campaigns based on buying behaviour. Other benefits of the MailChimp integration include abandoned cart automation workflows, easy customer segmentation and effective ROI measurement with campaign reporting.

Integration with Amazon Marketplaces and eBay

As a result of our vast experience with the development of additional sales channel integration solutions, Flint Studios configured Race & Rally's Magento website in such a way that enabled consistent product feeds to both the Amazon Marketplace and eBay. These feeds are kept up-to-date with the latest information, such as pricing and stock levels, and our experts ensured that Race & Rally's product categories are correctly mapped to both Amazon and eBay categories, with all sales being reconciled back to Magento CMS.

Currency Convertor based on exchange rate

Flint Studios set up Race & Rally's default product prices to be stored as GBP. Within the new Magento website, we delivered the functionality of changing the product prices to Euros. When the user initiates this change, an event listener will update product prices from GBP to Euros based on the current exchange rate. This functionality was beneficial to Race & Rally as it enhances the accessibility of the new website for customers outside of the UK, including Ireland and greater Europe.

Paid Advertising

Our developers created a feed of Race & Rally products which was uploaded to the Google Merchant Centre. This feed was periodically reuploaded and processed in the Merchant Centre to reflect any pricing, stock or product details changes that had been made in Magento. The Google Merchant Centre feed allowed us to create and manage Google Shopping   within Google Ads. For every £1 spent on the Google Shopping campaigns £8.11 was generated in revenue.
