Brief

Ray Grahams is one of the UK's largest independent building merchants with an extensive range of hardware and building products. The task has been to keep pace with Ray Grahams’ growth and deliver an online platform that enables the company to expand. We built a faster, more intuitive and easy-to-navigate system whilst paying particular attention to reinforcing their brand and offering a new and extensive product catalogue to their client base. To do this, we rethought, redesigned and redeveloped Ray Graham’s online presence, leveraging the latest technology to deliver a new online application to give Ray Grahams’ customers a pleasurable shopping experience coupled with a strategic plan to expand their client base within the social community.

Measurable Results

Open Source eCommerce Solution

We produced an online retail store using nopCommerce, an open source ecommerce solution for small to medium-sized businesses. The platform is secure, scalable and extendable with administration tools to manage a storefront, customers, wish lists, discounts and coupons. The website also offers multilingual support with Google Translate, accessible in more than sixty of the world’s languages as well as a choice of currency in Euros or Sterling.

Mega-Menu Design For Clarity 

With over 35,000 products available to purchase online from Ray Grahams, the website’s mega-menu is an ideal solution to improve navigation and usability. Mega-menus are common on ecommerce websites because they typically include a lot of categories of different products. The aesthetics of the mega-menu focuses on clarity, with room for text and consistent formatting.

Seamless Checkout Process

Checkout is probably the most important element of an ecommerce website and when done correctly, conversions and revenue will soar. Get it wrong, however, and you risk shopping cart abandonment. We have taken a number of measures to improve shopping cart usability, these include; anonymous checkout which is great for people who don’t wish to divulge their personal information and single page checkout which leads to greater conversions.
